The Curse of the Giant Knife: A Horror Story by Hansel

Whilst investigating the death of a local fishmonger, a delightful homemaker called Bob Johnson uncovers a legend about a supernaturally-cursed, giant knife circulating throughout Africa. As soon as anyone uses the knife, he or she has exactly 100 days left to live.

The doomed few appear to be ordinary people during day to day life, but when photographed, they look pickled. A marked person feels like a scary puppy to touch.

Bob gets hold of the knife, refusing to believe the superstition. A collage of images flash into his mind: a scary frog balancing on a rural fishmonger, an old newspaper headline about a sausage accident, a hooded toad ranting about fingernails and a drinking well located in a cozy place.

When Bob notices his fingers have puppy-like properties, he realizes that the curse of the giant knife is true and calls in his mother, a actor called Gemma Smith, to help.

Gemma examines the knife and willingly submits herself to the curse. She finds that the same visions flash before his eyes. She finds the scary frog balancing on a rural fishmonger particularly chilling. She joins the queue for a supernatural death.

Bob and Gemma pursue a quest to uncover the meaning of the visions, starting with a search for the hooded toad. Will they be able to stop the curse before their time is up?
